SellerHQ is a service of The Goven House Inc. We build and run data systems for Amazon sellers. This page explains what data we access, why we access it, where it's kept, and how to have it deleted.
The short version
- Your business data lives in your own Google Cloud project, not on our systems.
- We access Amazon data read-only, and only for the work you hired us to do.
- We never sell your data, and we never share it with other clients.
- We never ask for your Amazon password.
- You can revoke our access at any time.
Amazon data we access
We access Amazon data only after you authorize it, only with read-only permissions, and only for the data sources listed in your agreement with us.
Amazon Ads (Amazon Ads API)
- Your advertising profiles and the ad accounts you approve
- Campaigns, ad groups, keywords, product targets and their settings, including bids and budgets
- Performance reports: impressions, clicks, spend, sales and orders by campaign, keyword, target and search term
Why: to keep a daily history of your advertising that outlasts Amazon's reporting window, and to report spend, ACOS and TACoS for each product against your real margins.
Seller Central (Selling Partner API)
- Orders, and sales and traffic reports
- Inventory and inbound shipments
- Fees, financial events and settlements
- Returns and listings
- Brand Analytics, including Search Query Performance, if your brand is registered
Why: demand forecasting, restock recommendations, alerts when a listing changes, and reconciling your Amazon payouts to the penny.
We don't request buyers' personal information such as names, addresses or phone numbers. Amazon only releases that through restricted access, and we don't use it.
Where your data goes
Your data is written to a BigQuery warehouse in your own Google Cloud project, billed to you, by software running on a server in your own account. It doesn't pass through or stay on servers we own.
We get access to your project as a contractor so we can build and maintain the system. If we make a working copy of any of your data while fixing something, we delete it within five business days of our engagement ending.
Connecting Amazon Ads through SellerHQ's app
You may connect Amazon Ads by approving SellerHQ's app through Login with Amazon. Amazon then gives us an authorization token for the ad accounts you approve. We keep it encrypted and use it only to collect your advertising data into your own warehouse. We never use it for another client or for our own business.
You can revoke it at any time from your Amazon Ads account. Amazon asks you to approve the connection again every 12 months.
AI models
Some features, such as answering questions in plain English, drafting listing copy and writing summaries, send the relevant data to an AI model. They run on your own AI provider account, under that account's terms.
When we maintain your system, we may use AI coding assistants under commercial terms that don't let the provider train on your data.
Figures in alerts and reports are calculated directly from your data. They're as current as Amazon's latest report, which is usually the previous day. Text written by an AI model can contain mistakes, so check anything you act on.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your data.
- Share it with other clients, either on its own or combined with theirs.
- Use it to make product, pricing or sourcing decisions for our own brands.
- Ask for your Amazon password. We only use Amazon's own authorization screens.
- Name you or show your data publicly without your written permission.
The only exception is when the law requires us to disclose something.
Service providers
These companies process data as part of the service:
- Google Cloud: your warehouse, in your account.
- Your server's hosting provider: in your account.
- Your AI model provider: in your account.
- Your team chat tool, for example Slack, where alerts are posted.
- Google Workspace: our email, and the private folder we use during setup.
- A password manager: where we store your credentials, encrypted.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website.
Keeping and deleting data
Your warehouse is yours. You decide how long to keep data, and you can delete any of it at any time.
We keep only your credentials (encrypted) and the business records of our work together: the agreement, invoices and correspondence.
When an engagement ends, within five business days we:
- remove our access
- delete our copies of your credentials
- delete any working copies of your data
If your Amazon Ads connection runs through SellerHQ's app, you can ask us to keep it running for up to 30 days while you switch to your own.
If Amazon asks us to delete Amazon data, we do so within the time Amazon requires. We keep business records for as long as the law requires.
This website
- No cookies, no advertising trackers and no analytics.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes standard request data such as your IP address to serve and protect it.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google.
- The "Tell me about your brand" form is a Google Form. It collects what you type into it. Ramon reads every submission, and we use it only to reply to you and to see whether we're a fit. Ask and we'll delete it.
- Booking a call goes through Google Calendar's booking page.
Your choices
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email ramon@sellerhq.com and we'll answer within 30 days. We don't sell or share personal information.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes too. We tell current clients about any significant change directly.
